What to expect?
Liposuction is performed under general anesthetic and patients can return home the same day. Liposuction uses a hollow tube attached to a powerful suction to remove fat. The fat deposit area is filled with a solution that helps decrease pain and minimize bleeding.
How long does it take to recover?
There will be bruising that may last up to two weeks and swelling that can last anywhere from six weeks to three months. Most patients can resume normal activities and return to work after two weeks.
