Labiaplasty

A surgical procedure to reshape and resize the labia minora
Surgical Treatments, SkinOne, Vancouver BC
A labiaplasty is a type of surgery performed on women who are unhappy with the size and shape of their vaginal lips. It can also be performed on women who suffer from irritation and discomfort during sexual intercourse as a result of stretched or enlarged labia. Labiaplasty is often chosen by women who have the goal of improving the appearance of the labia. In labiaplasty, plastic surgery can be performed on the labia majora (the larger, outer vaginal lips) or the labia minora (the smaller, inner vaginal lips). Labiaplasty may be a procedure performed after a vaginal birth to tighten the vagina.

What to expect?

During the procedure, excess skin is removed, and the remaining skin is reshaped to produce symmetrical genitalia.

How long does it take to recover?

Most patients are able to resume normal activities within a day of the procedure. There may be some swelling which can last up to six weeks.
