What to expect?
During the procedure, excess skin is removed, and the remaining skin is reshaped to produce symmetrical genitalia.
How long does it take to recover?
Most patients are able to resume normal activities within a day of the procedure. There may be some swelling which can last up to six weeks.

Dr. Klok attended medical school at the University of British Columbia and graduated with her MD in 2009. She completed her five years of Plastic Surgery training at the University of Ottawa and obtained her board certification in plastic surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2015. Dr. Klok then went on to pursue a fellowship in Breast Cancer Reconstruction at the University of Toronto. During her fellowship she had the opportunity to learn various techniques in breast reconstruction from leaders in the field and also acquired extensive training in aesthetic surgery and microsurgery. In addition to this, Dr. Klok has a Masters in Science from McMaster University in Health Research Methodology and has pursued various research endeavors including writing surgical publications and presenting at national and international conferences.
